INSURANCE
Before collecting any equipment from our premises, clients must provide valid proof of insurance covering all items hired.
Insurance Requirements
Insurance must:
Be in the hirer’s name
Cover the full replacement value of all equipment hired (values to be confirmed by D-LUX Rentals prior to collection).
Include loss, theft, and accidental damage
Be valid for professional film, television, or commercial use
Providing insurance for a lower value than the replacement cost will leave the hirer liable for any shortfall.
Coverage Period
Insurance must cover the entire hire period, from the moment the equipment leaves D-LUX Rentals until it is returned and checked back in.
Covering only the collection or shoot date is not sufficient.
Responsibility & Liability
The hirer is fully responsible for the equipment during the hire period.
D-LUX Rentals cannot be held liable for loss, theft, damage, or breakages arising from negligence, misuse, or failure to provide adequate insurance.
Where required, hire start and end dates must be clearly stated and agreed in writing prior to collection. Hirers may be asked to sign a hire agreement confirming acceptance of all terms and conditions.
Insurance Providers
We are not affiliated with this provider and clients are free to use any insurer that meets the above requirements.
