INSURANCE

Before any client collects an item from our premises, they will be required to provide proof of insurance for all the items being hired out.

The insurance policy needs are under the hirer’s name and to cover the total amount the gear is currently valued at (this is to be given by D-LUX staff only, as some clients tend to do their own research and more often than not the values do not match and if anything was to happen with any of the equipment, the hirer will be liable for any of the total amount). To avoid any issues, please just get in touch with us, we are happy to help.

Another common mistake is to request insurance only for the dates the equipment will be used. In reality, the insurance needs to cover from the date you collect the goods until the date the goods are given back to D-LUX Rentals. It is the hirer’s responsibility to make sure this happens and D-LUX will not be responsible/liable for any damages, theft, breakages, or anything of the same nature due to the client’s negligence. Whenever in doubt, refer to your Hire Agreement, start and end dates should be clearly shown (hirers need to sign this agreement to confirm they are ok with all the terms including prices and dates).

If you don’t have your own insurance yet, we recommend Performance Film & Media Insurance.
